Show #1082: Monday, March 29, 2021Jeff covers a lot in this one including the escalating mask war in AZ between the Governor and certain Mayors + they want you to shut up and pay your taxes so they can give it out to others!0:00-18:05Per mile Gas tax? Don’t worry it’ll only hurt those evil travelers destroying the earth! Oh wait, everything is shipped! This will raise prices for everyone especially the poor who spend a bigger percentage of their income on food, fuel and rent!Eviction Moratorium Extended thru June 30, 2021. Media and CDC all glom on to some study that no one has read that says if people move they “may” get Covid. Well no sh&$! You may get hit by a meteor too! We’re all in this together. Jeff calls total BS on this one. Flagstaff & Tucson defy Ducey’s ending of mask mandates President Biden made these remarks earlier today, “I’m reiterating my call for every governor, mayor, and local leader to maintain and reinstate the mask mandate. Please. This is not politics. Reinstate the mandate if you let it down,”Flagstaff Mayor Paul Deasy (expected on show this week)
Mayor Regina Romero of Tucson said, “I have no intention of removing our local mask-wearing requirement,” adding “our city attorney has advised me that we have clear local authority to continue implementing our city mask mandate.” (From 12 news)
Mayor Kate Gallego tweeted...
“I’m concerned that politics played a role in this process,” Gallego said. “I’ve spoken to the health care leaders who have been great partners of the governor during COVID-19, they also did not know this was coming.”
Masks kill, at least when it comes to wildlife. This from studyfinds.org. “Recent studies are calling the millions of coronavirus face masks people throw away a ticking plastic bomb. Unfortunately, a new report from the Netherlands finds that bomb has already gone off when it comes to wildlife. A team of biologists is revealing the damage disposable COVID safety gear is having on the world’s animal population.” https://www.studyfinds.org/covid-waste-face-masks-killing-wildlife/Then the cdc director, Rochelle Walensky, said this, “I'm going to reflect on the recurring feeling I have of impending doom," Walensky said, appearing to hold back tears. "We do not have the luxury of inaction. For the health of our country, we must work together now to prevent a fourth surge$199,999 per year & protected from eviction! What the ?$&@! Our country has lost its mind.
18:06-30:56
Mark Haughwout returns. Jeff and Mark ask why a couple making $199,999 per year are protected from eviction. Binomial regressions and difference in differences. What! You can’t make this stuff upA study has been cited so it’s gotta be true! The President, CDC and media cite a study. But have they read it? Jeff does and it says “may”!!! But reading it, it doesn’t make any sense! #science+++ CDC...don’t evict someone because it may spread Covid. But a crowded plane is ok? When will people question this stuff?Baking cakes and going to the Supreme Court!
30:57-43:14
Mark shares the story of a Colorado baker who refused to bake a cake for a homosexual wedding. This case went to the US Supreme Court. The baker won but now there’s further lawsuits. What’s the deal. Mark explains. Curbing Civil Asset Forfeiture abuses w. Goldwater Institutes Jenna Bentley
43:15-60:20.Jenna Bentley explains what civil asset forfeiture is and how its original intent has been warped. With over half the cash that is confiscated under $1,000, most don’t have the means to fight if wrongly accused. Jenna gives some stunning examples of abuse. But there’s a bill (HB2810) at the Legislature to try and reign in the abuses.Jeff suggests everyone go to a civilizations ruins and ponder, why did it end? That may help in today’s current environment.

PLEASE EMAIL YOUR COMMENTS TalkWithJeff@icloud.comRenee Flagstaff, a new listener says…”one thing seems certain, you seem to be very anti system, even anti government with your comments. Surely there’s a need for some of the system put into place now with Covid and for future health outbreaks. Without it, wouldn’t it be chaos!”Jeff offers a response!

“Today I want you to know that I submitted an appeal (based on the income approach) regarding my property taxes. Last year our revenues declined by 55% due to government imposed closures and capacity restrictions. For four months we were totally closed; a condemnation of our property. During this time we were prohibited from generating any revenues. My position is no revenues, no value, for some period of time. How is it our taxes didn’t go down at all then? Maybe the county can use some of this FOUND money to compensate small businesses for paying inflated property taxes on depressed real estate values.”
Hey government, you closed me down, where’s my check?
31:52-43:21Jeff continues to discuss Ron’s email. Ron was shut down and/or extremely limited in operations by order of the government! Ok! Where’s his check for the taking? Remember, “we’re all in this together”!The sad reality, small business owners are nothing more than cash registers for politicians!
